Le General Hotel

The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I’ve ever met at a hotel, and the location made getting around easy on foot or by transit. The rooms are a good size for a city this big. I don’t think I’ll stay anywhere else in Paris.

Thomas was there throughout to make sure we had what we needed, and the staff were very polite. The rooms were clean and convenient, and with the metro close by, it was easy to get to Paris’s main sights. We felt at home and think we’ve found our hotel for our next visit. Thank you!

We usually stay in or near the Marais, and this was our first time at Le General, near Pl. de Republique. The location was great, and the chic, hip boutique hotel suited us well and was nicely maintained. What stood out most, though, was the superb service. Every employee we met was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We’ll definitely return.

The staff were welcoming and thoughtful from our first email through checkout, which made the stay feel personal and relaxed. I picked Le General for its boutique character and the wall art saying “Women’s Day was Everyday,” and that first impression held up. The hotel is well placed for exploring Paris, with cafés, sights, and neighborhoods all within easy reach. Our room was spotless, modern, and well equipped, and breakfast was great. The one issue was street noise in my room. I didn’t ask to move and waited to see if it got better. It eased a little, and I still slept fine, though I could hear it. A wonderful boutique hotel with a warm, memorable feel, and I’d definitely stay again.
