The location is great, the staff are friendly, breakfast is OK, and there’s an elevator. The shower was great and the bed was fine. The room was noisy, though we sleep with earplugs anyway. There wasn’t much street noise, and the windows opened all the way. The rooms are small, with little space for belongings. They clean every three days “for the environment,” which felt a bit odd for a hotel, though you can ask reception for a cleaning whenever you want. In April there was no A/C, apparently a France-wide thing, so there’s no point paying extra for a room with it since they won’t turn it on. The TV has no Netflix and doesn’t let you cast.

I liked that this hotel has some personality instead of feeling like every other place. The room looked modern and had what I needed, though I wish there’d been a main light because the bedside lamps left it too dark. The staff were excellent, especially Kataryna, who welcomed me, and breakfast was very good. A solid mid-range option in the north of Paris.

We stayed for three nights and had a lovely time. The team were accommodating with our six-month-old, providing a cot with a mattress and bedding. Hot drinks were available downstairs at any time, and there’s a small lift that helped with our luggage and pushchair. It’s also within walking distance of Gare du Nord.

We enjoyed walking to the sights and stopping at the quirky shops and bars along the way. The location is brilliant for Gard du Nord and Eurostar, though people focused only on tourist attractions might prefer somewhere closer to the centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, and although our room was on the small side, it suited our needs perfectly.

There was a glitch with our reservation, but the staff kindly took care of us and were very accommodating. They’re lovely people, and the breakfast buffet was great, definitely worth recommending. Thanks very much.
