Lenox Montparnasse Hotel

There was a good amount of room by Paris standards, and breakfast was wonderful. Tea and coffee were available in the dining room outside breakfast hours, with a great selection. Crepe lovers are in the right place here, and most of the crepes and gallettes are gluten free. Hichem and Magdelena at the front desk were very helpful. Magdalena even looked up a venue’s opening hours for us.

We had two rooms on the 5th floor for three nights. They weren’t large, but felt cosy, with that quaint, typically Parisian feel. A lovely older gentleman on the night shift made us feel at home when we arrived. The area was quiet, with great cafes and restaurants just steps away. We used the honesty bar, though there were plenty of cafes on the doorstep, and buffet breakfast was available too. Getting to the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and other sights was about 15 euro. My son and I walked the 2.5km to the Eiffel Tower and really enjoyed it.

I liked the free refill system for empty glass bottles, a nice way to cut down on waste, and the staff were really nice. The hotel is right in Montparnasse, near cute shops, cafes, and the market. Breakfast was good, though I would have liked more French dishes. Our room was pleasant but nothing special, and I missed having slippers. The ventilation was the downside: as a vegetarian, waking up to sausage cooking downstairs wasn’t great, and sometimes there was a smell in the bathroom too.

The view from our room over Rue Delambre was lovely, and the bathroom had plenty of space. The room itself was perfect, and the staff were welcoming and very helpful. A comfortable hotel in a great spot.
