Vestay George V

We sat on the terrace with fresh coffee, looking out over the street, and had croissants and bread delivered every morning. That really made it feel like a five-star stay. Vestay had the comfort of a top hotel but also felt like having our own apartment in one of the best cities in the world. The owner met us around 7am, checked us straight into our room, carried our bags up, and pointed out places he'd recommend from a local's perspective. The location is in a safe, friendly part of the 8th arrondissement, within walking distance of high-end shops and attractions like the Eiffel Tower and River Cruises, and just minutes from two train stations. My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon in Paris, and we can't thank Alexandre and his staff enough. We'd definitely stay here again if we return.

We wanted a simple, comfortable place without extra frills, and this suited us well. It's not a traditional hotel with a big lobby or lots of amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location puts you close to everything while staying away from noisy crowds. It's cozy, and I appreciated the several access codes needed to get to the room. They added a welcome sense of security. A good fit for travelers who value privacy and convenience.

The patisserie treats left outside our door were lovely, and there were complimentary treats in the fridge too. Our room was beautiful and clean, with a fabulous balcony, and the location was ideal. The elevator was a real help since we were on the 4th floor. We thoroughly enjoyed the Vestay and will come back for sure.

The squeaky floorboards were the one drawback, especially if you get up early, though I suppose that's to be expected with original flooring. Otherwise, a wonderful place to stay, with a fun little balcony, good breakfast, and a grocery store just a few minutes' walk away where we picked up extra things. The rooms have lovely classic French decor, a modern bathroom and kitchenette, and it's in a fabulous location. It feels more like an air bnb than a hotel.
