Hotel Les Jardins de Montmartre

We'd definitely come back. The location is great for the Metro and for walking to Montmartre, and reception staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice. The room wasn't large, but it was pleasant and had what we needed: a kettle, safe, and a good-sized wardrobe. It was clean, too. The only bother was other guests slamming doors and talking outside their rooms late at night or early in the morning. People being inconsiderate like that happens everywhere.

The street and restaurant noise made it tough to sleep, even though we had a nice view. The room was tiny, and there wasn't enough space to have two suitcases open at once, so staying organized matters. I expected that at this price, though. The shower head was nice. It's a cute little boutique hotel in Montmartre, with several train options nearby and Sacred Heart Basilica within walking distance. The front desk man was really friendly, a bit like a silly grandpa, and spoke pretty good English. Check-in was quick. The elevator is probably the world's smallest, just room for one person with a bag or two people. We mostly took the stairs, so it wasn't much of a hassle outside arrival and departure. Breakfast costs 14€, and they offer free tea in the afternoon. There's also a water bottle filler by the breakfast area that you can use any time.

We were there for three nights. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and tidied every day. The staff were very friendly and helped with questions about directions and transport. I'd stay again if I'm in paris.

Mediocre overall. The room wasn't soundproof, and being close to reception meant I could hear people making a lot of noise, arguing and carrying on. I was asleep around 3pm when a woman somehow opened the door and walked into my room. That really frightened me. I think it was a misunderstanding and she may have been a housekeeper, but the way she got in felt seriously unsafe. The guy on the night shift at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The other guys get 2.5/5. The room was clean, and the price was cheap for a central location.
