The only thing I missed was having tea or coffee facilities in the room or hotel outside breakfast. The breakfast itself was excellent with plenty of choice, and the restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel was kept very clean, with housekeeping in our room every day. Reception staff were pleasant and polite, and the location was great. Our room and bed were comfortable, with good heating for a winter stay. Casey was very helpful at checkout and arranged to store our luggage for a couple of hours. We'll definitely return. It's a good all-round hotel.
Construction noise made our first night in room 10 miserable. Work was going on outside the door and window, as well as above and around the room, and after arriving late we were woken at 8am on Saturday by the noise. They moved us for night two when we complained, but offered nothing to make up for the first night. We were told the hotel was full and the only way to move us was to put someone else in room 10. I don't think paying guests should be placed there. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
The room was clean, roomy, and had a city view, and every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. I ended up staying three nights and would happily come back. Manuel was the first person I met. We didn't have a reservation, and on a rainy night when we were tired, he called around and found us a nearby place. He suggested we return the next day if we wanted to switch hotels, which we did. Lyes then found me a room away from the construction behind the property. Casey was also upbeat and glad to answer questions. The care they put into the hotel's presentation and even the checkout time stood out. They made me feel comfortable and safe in a big city. Thanks for making my Paris visit memorable.
Manuel Diaz was the bright spot from the start. He handled my check-in with real care, professionalism, and kindness, the sort of service I'd expect at a luxury hotel. The location is excellent too. The rest of the experience didn't match that welcome. At 198 euros a night, I expected more, even in Paris. The room was so tiny I couldn't open my suitcase unless I put it on the bed, which felt unhygienic. The mattress was badly worn and lumpy, and the room smelled as if it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth. I also spent 48 hours trying unsuccessfully to get an iron from reception. Other than Manuel Diaz, the staff seemed bored and not interested in helping or being courteous.
We booked two rooms for five nights in July. They were compact but usable, though space is tight throughout this small hotel, including the narrow corridors. Getting around was easy thanks to excellent public transport links. The front desk team tried to help with our requests, and breakfast was decent. The woman serving it was especially friendly. The location is a little away from the centre. During our stay, we came across antisemitic protests on the walk from the metro to the hotel. For the price, it was adequate.
