Hotel Neptune

The rooms are very clean, which is the best part. The place is well located and basic, with an older feel, but it works perfectly for a weekend trip. The people running the hotel speak only very basic English, though they're friendly and try their best to communicate. I'll probably stay here again on my next Paris visit.

The location was the one good thing: the metro is very close. The room was small, with old furniture, and the bathroom was small too. In November it was much too cold. We complained a couple of times, and they promised to turn up the temperature, but nothing changed. There was no air conditioning. We asked for another blanket, but they said they didn't have one. The staff didn't speak English, so they were no use to us.

It was a good stay overall. The hotel is nice and cozy, and the staff are friendly and try to help as much as they can. The reception is open most of the time. There's a city tax to pay at reception when you check in, on top of the room booking. They take your room key when you leave and return it when you come back. It's a bit far from the city center, though there's a metro station close by. There are also fast-food places next to the hotel, including Macdonald’s and KFC.

The room and bathroom were both tiny, about what you'd expect in Paris. Everything was very clean, though the setup was outdated. The price was good in comparison, so it was good value all in all. Happy with the stay.
