Sabine House

The area feels safe and is really pretty, and the subway gets you to the city center in 15 minutes. The house itself is cozy. Having your own kitchen and bathroom in the room is handy, though the cleanliness could be better and the main house had an unpleasant smell. The host is a very nice woman, but this feels more like a guesthouse than a hostel. Not the place to go if you're hoping to meet people.

My family always books this condo-style place when we visit Paris. The owner is a Korean woman who also offers personal tour guides. On one trip a few years ago, she went to the dawn market to get salmon sashimi for our breakfast. That was such a touching thing to do. I hope she's still doing well.

When I was young, I visited with my father in 2005. I can still clearly picture the lady who made us sausages, eggs, and orange milk each morning. I'd love to go back if I get the chance.

The Korean owner is very clean, and both the prices and the surroundings are good.
