Select Hotel - Rive Gauche

Teresa was wonderful from the start. She speaks Spanish and French, which made it easy to communicate and helped me feel very welcome and comfortable. The rest of the staff were lovely too, and the hotel is charming with a beautiful view. Select Hotel sits right in front of the Sorbonne, with easy access to the Panthéon, Monoprix, and plenty of lovely spots nearby. Across from the Panthéon, you can even find some of the best chocolate. I loved the people, the location, and the surroundings. It has a lovely balance of calm and atmosphere, and felt like a five-star experience. I’d gladly stay again.

The room was quite small, which is typical for Paris, and the hotel doesn’t provide water bottles each day. We skipped breakfast there since there are so many good cafés and brunch places nearby. My husband and I stayed at Select Hotel in August and had a pleasant visit. We got upgraded to an Executive Room, and the view of the Sorbonne from the window was impressive. The location is excellent, surrounded by bookstores and close to Luxembourg Gardens, with many attractions within walking distance. The Latin Quarter has lots of lively restaurants and bars, though it was calm at night during August. I’m not sure if it would stay that way when students return in September. It’s a clean, cozy place that suits travelers who’ll spend most of their time exploring and need somewhere comfortable to sleep. The location and view made our stay especially enjoyable.

Laurent, Maria, and Melvin are the best. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful, quiet, and tucked away, while still being close to transport. I’ve stayed elsewhere, but this is my number one choice.

The staff were so helpful and considerate, and the location made it easy to reach the main attractions. Just stayed here and found it an absolute gem. I’d highly recommend it.
