A clean, reasonably priced hostel for the area, with a good bathroom, friendly staff and a handy location. The mattress dipped a little in the middle, but it was still tolerable. There are lots of stairs, so large bags aren’t ideal. The heating was much too high for October, though we could adjust it.

The friendly black cat wandering around was a highlight for us. The place was very clean, and it had its own bathroom in each room, which was much nicer than sharing a communal one. We liked the cool interior design, and the rooms were pretty nice too. Carrefour and other shops are close by, which made it easy to pick up ingredients and cook in the clean kitchen. Public transport is nearby as well, so getting to the attractions didn’t take long. We had a good stay.

Even though I picked the cheapest option for one night, my room had just three other beds and a large, new bathroom all to ourselves. It was one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed in. The shared spaces were spacious, with an enclosed patio and a kitchen-dining area. The resident cat is adorable, and they have loads of useful resources.

The hostel felt clean, and the beds and bathrooms were in good shape. Transit is a short walk away, though we often felt a bit out of the way from both where we were and where we wanted to go. Maybe that’s just Paris. Breakfast was the weak point. If you have time, head out earlier for a bakery and a decent espresso. In a pinch, the hostel’s breakfast is reasonable. Wi-Fi could be slow, so I wouldn’t count on it for work.

It was pretty clean, and I met some cool people, but this wasn’t a good hostel experience. I booked at the last minute and was really just looking for a place to sleep. It doesn’t feel social. One staff member in particular made people feel unwelcome and, as far as basic maintenance and getting the showers working, seemed to make up excuses to avoid dealing with it.
