The One Alma Paris

The staff were incredibly welcoming and kind, and we even got a complimentary upgrade to a room with a King sized bed. We spent five wonderful days here. The room was exceptionally clean, quiet and comfortable. It’s also in a great location, close to the Eiffel Tower and a Metro Station. We’ll stay here again.

We had a king bed and a very spacious room, and the property was so clean that we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The front desk team were wonderfully friendly and always ready to help with questions or requests. On rainy days, they thoughtfully offered umbrellas. The hotel is very central, around a 10-minute walk from both the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Élysées. We enjoyed drinks at the bar with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. It was an outstanding stay, and we’d happily come back.

Umaru, the manager, made sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. That was a thoughtful touch, and the staff overall were friendly and helpful. I loved the rooftop bar seating area for its view and atmosphere. The hotel feels right in the heart of the city while still being away from the noise. We had a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it.

We stayed at this five-star hotel near the Eiffel Tower at the beginning of January. It has recently changed its name, but the rooms and some items still say “Juliana,” and the renovation to update the name everywhere is still underway. The rooms themselves were stylish and nice, with welcome macarons and a box of sweets. Our arrival went smoothly. The doorman met our private transport and carried our bags to reception, where we got welcome champagne. The receptionist showed us to our room and said housekeeping checked and refilled the minibar daily. That didn’t happen, so we bought drinks and other things at a local store. On the first two nights, evening staff brought a couple of glass bottles of room-temperature water and small candies, and tidied the room. They didn’t come on the last night. In our second room, a wilted orchid was replaced only after we asked. There are bars downstairs and on the top floor. In the evening, the upstairs bar offers a small meal, but it took a long time to arrive even when we were the only guests. The person working there spoke and understood English poorly. When we ordered starters, main courses and desserts, we got only the starters. A five-star hotel would be better with staff who speak English fluently. Breakfast is served on the glazed top-floor terrace. It was chilly despite the individual heaters, and the breakfast was small but tasty. There was barbed wire along the terrace edge for customer protection. It might work better to move some breakfast service from the elevator lobby to the terrace bar area. Coffee came only from a vending machine and tasted like water, not coffee. For the first few mornings, the male waiter brought croissants only when asked. On our last morning, a female staff member brought them to everyone without being asked, which was a nice surprise. The lounge connected to the first-floor bar was quiet and pleasant, a good place to wait for a transfer. At checkout, we said we were otherwise satisfied but that housekeeping had fallen short: no extra toilet paper was brought, the minibar wasn’t refilled, and the flower was replaced only on request. The receptionists then became rude to us. When we came back that afternoon to wait for our airport transfer, they only partly greeted us, and we had to carry our bags ourselves to the private transfer near the front doors. Overall, it was a good experience.
