The Peninsula Paris

Etienne is what made this stay memorable for me. He’s a fantastic bartender, knows his cocktails, gives spot-on recommendations, and makes each drink with real care. He’s warm and professional, and makes you feel welcome and remembered from the moment you sit down. The bar has a great atmosphere because of him. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and well located, and I’d happily return. Stop by the bar and ask for Etienne.

This is our second time staying at the hotel, and it was definitely much better than a couple of years ago. Service was great until our last day, when they forgot a food item we’d ordered. We were late for our flight and had to leave hungry. The hotel is very mide.

I had a terrible experience. Room service stole jewelry from my room, and investigators came to interview me and show them to me. While searching for my missing things, I found a ton of dust in the bedside tables. Later, around midnight, I ordered food from a local restaurant. The delivery driver left it downstairs, took a photo, and then stole it. I didn’t know that yet, so I called to ask for the food I thought was there to be brought up. The front desk downstairs said that would cost an extra $50. For a five-star hotel, bringing food to your room should be included. At the Belmond, they checked that my food was warm and heated it before bringing it up. I went down myself and couldn’t find the food. Two workers were sitting and chatting; they also appeared in the background of the delivery app photo. They said the driver had come in, set the food down in front of them, taken a picture, then picked it up and left. They said there was nothing they could do. I posted this review before, but the hotel begged me to remove it and offered a free spa visit. I can’t remember why I took it down. I think I felt bad for the manager, who had to deal with such horrible staff. But I think others should know that these reviews are falsified.

We had a lovely time over drinks. The place is spotless, with amazing decor and a cozy feel. The staff are so friendly and lovely. Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely be back.
