WS Louvre - Richelieu

One morning the power went out, something the hosts couldn’t control. They handled it professionally and kindly gave us a full breakfast the next day to make up for it, which we appreciated. The location was a real highlight. Everything we needed was within walking distance, most places were 15-20 minutes away, and walking into Paris took about 30 minutes. The city is easy to get around on foot, so we didn’t need public transportation. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this place. The hosts were thoughtful.

The location is great if you want to step out right into the centre. But we had trouble with our room door, which wouldn’t open, so we couldn’t get to our belongings. The staff kindly moved us to another room, but without our things, including a charger, we couldn’t get anything done. We basically lost a day and had to cancel reservations. Apparently the handyman didn’t think it was urgent. There was also a horrible smell in the hallway.

After a tiring day, we found oil stains and fingerprints on the kitchen utensils. The fan only worked with the lights on, so we had to choose between leaving a light on and hurting our sleep or going without the fan. Worst of all, once we’d just lain down, we noticed blood stains on the sheet and blanket. That’s a basic hygiene standard, and this hotel failed it. The website pictures also misled me. For these prices there are plenty of better places, and this hotel was a disaster. Please don’t stay here.

We spent one night at WS Louvre Casanova - WS ROOMS in June 2025. The next day, my partner and I found multiple bed bug bites. We contacted the property right away. They acknowledged the issue over the phone and promised compensation, but after repeated emails and calls, we still haven’t had a concrete solution. It’s been more than a month of vague replies about waiting for a manager’s approval. Meanwhile, we’ve dealt with itching, stress, sleepless nights, and worry about bringing bugs into our home and belongings. Booking.com knows about the problem too, but hasn’t resolved it. I strongly advise against booking here. The response shows no accountability or care despite the serious health concerns. The roof fan also doesn’t cool the room at all, and instead spreads dust around it.
