WS Saint-Lazare - Lafayette

We stayed with our two young kids, and they loved this little apartment. The kitchen is tiny but works, and the bathroom was fine. It's very basic, but the value is hard to beat. Great location in a cool area, close to other cool neighbourhoods. It would suit a couple who don't plan to spend much time inside. We liked the feel with the windows open in the evenings and mornings. They do need a recycling bin.

No air conditioning, and it was August. The fan and light wiring above the bed was completely messed up, and there were no fans in the bathroom. I'm 5'8 and the showerhead was too low for me. The curtain was nearly falling off, and there were blood stains on the walls, probably from dead bugs. We almost got locked out, and when we asked for sheets and fresh towels, none arrived.

We had nice views over Paris rooftops and found the apartment very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The shower was good, and it was in a quiet spot, roughly halfway between Gare du Nord and the Moulin Rouge. It took a while to get in because the entry description was a bit confusing, but it's a very nice place to stay.

Staff made unnecessary, offensive noise during the day. I raised it with the company, and they apologised and offered a small amount of compensation. Then they didn't pay. Dishonest. Avoid.
