I slept badly and left as soon as I could. The walls and door were flimsy for the price, and the private party down the corridor, in a woman's room, added to how uncomfortable I felt. She seemed surprised to see me and tried to pass herself off as staff. I suspect the hotel is used for other purposes. As a woman on my own, I didn't feel safe in this very dodgy hotel or its surrounding area. I only stayed because it was near the station after I missed my connecting train to Les Eysies late at night. Avoid it at all costs if possible.

The clean room, larger washroom, train station location, and friendly grandpa at reception were the good parts. But we booked for three adults and got a bunk bed. Every room faces noisy streets, and plug in a few things and you trip the breaker. The walls are paper thin, so you hear everything and get cigarette smells; the creaky, uneven stairs and wooden floors carry noise too. Internet isn't free, and the double bed only had one pillow. You get the idea.

It was relatively cheap, about 50 euros. There wasn't much else to get excited about.

They quoted 50 euros for the room on the phone, but when I arrived, they said only a larger room at 60 euros was left. The hygiene was so poor I'd rate it 0/20, and I can't recommend the place. The sheets scratched as if there were bedbugs, it was very cold, and you could hear every noise from the hallway because the insulation was poor. Don't waste your money.

I woke up at 5 a.m. to a guy coughing right next to me. It was almost alarming, like you should call emergency services. The room was cold and so poorly insulated that even a Formula 1 hotel would be better. The walls were so thin I could hear people snoring as they slept. It felt like a room where you're treated as part of a family, which isn't what I want from a hotel. Never again. If you're a light sleeper, stay away. I'd spend €20 to €30 more for better sleep, peace and quiet, and privacy. You'd probably sleep better in a converted van with no noise around. The receptionist offered me coffee for free the next day, though. Thanks to my selective memory, I hope I forget this time in my life quickly.
