Best Western Hotel Saint Claude

The rooms feel almost new and were super clean. Great breakfast and service!

The rooms were OK, and the bathroom was fine though a little dated. Noise came through quite a lot from the hallway and the rooms beside and above mine. There was no ventilation apart from opening the windows. Staff were friendly and spoke fluent English, and breakfast was good. It's a good hotel for the price. There's no private parking; you have to use the public alley behind the hotel. It's well lit and has a camera, but I still didn't feel it was the safest place to leave a car.

It's a clean, comfortable hotel with a big double bed made by putting two singles together. The shower was awkward and flooded the floor, probably because it was blocked. The staff were lovely and really helpful, and the place is nicely designed and decorated throughout. Breakfast costs €12 per person, which felt much too expensive for a continental breakfast. We also had to stop playing pool around 9.45pm, earlier than the advertised 10.30pm, because the receptionist was leaving. Still a really nice hotel.

We were glad this was the random hotel we chose on the way to Paris. The breakfast buffet was beautiful, and you could make your own soft boiled eggs. The woman running the hotel was very friendly and, thankfully, spoke good English. Parking behind the old church was easy. From the small entrance, you'd never guess how huge and rambling the place is. It's an old building, maybe hundreds of years old, but it's been fully modernized.
