Hotel Restaurant L'Esturgeon

We had a lovely family lunch this weekend, and it's always a nice experience here. The restaurant and hotel by the Seine are charming, and the food is delicious. The river view is so lovely. It's one of our family's regular places when we visit the area. We also stayed at the hotel for a wedding in Poissy and found it really comfortable. We got to watch the fireworks over the river for the 14th of July National Celebration. Can only recommend!

The way customers were treated felt completely disrespectful. Their demands seemed unreasonable and hadn't been explained beforehand, and when I raised concerns, the response was rude and dismissive. The behavior came across as arrogant and unprofessional. Avoid this place if you expect basic respect.

☹️ After staying in over 40 countries, this was my worst experience. 😠 I stayed at L’estrugeon for 10 nights. The rooms were old and rustic but clean, and they were okay apart from having no air conditioning or basic amenities. I booked the first three nights online for €113 a night. When I extended for seven more nights, the staff said I would get a cheaper rate for the same room, so I stayed because it was convenient for my office. At checkout I was charged €140 a night, with no mention that the room rate had changed. Lesson learned: get everything documented to avoid this kind of cheap play. 🤬 I was also charged for food I hadn't eaten. The payment hadn't gone through, and staff wouldn't let the employee swipe my card and settle the balance before I left. I had already given you two credit cards before checkout, and I contacted you myself after the payment failed. Then you told me you had to fight to get the payment. Wow, the management was the worst, and the attitude was even worse. Amazing and courteous leadership. This is why you'll live and die as a family-owned hotel. R.I.P., my dear friend.

The staff were attentive and made me feel comfortable throughout my stay in Poissy. My room was clean, and the restaurant served delicious meals with excellent service. I had a great stay here. Highly recommended!
