The studio vue mer was clean and in good condition, and we loved the beautiful, well-kept residence. It was even lovelier than we remembered from our visit years ago. For clearer communication, I’d suggest sending emails in both French and English. In the booking confirmation, please make extra charges such as final cleaning and tourist city tax stand out with the same font size, bolding, and red color. Thank you.

I’ve travelled around much of Europe and Asia, and this was the most absurd stay I’ve had. I booked through Agoda.com and paid quite a lot for three nights for my fiancée and me. At check-in, they demanded €40 for housekeeping, a €300 deposit “in case we ruined the room,” and another €40 for city tax. None of those fees had been mentioned when we booked six months earlier, so with nowhere else to stay we felt cornered into paying. We had to specifically ask for receipts, and the front desk card terminals declined our debit and credit cards without explaining why. The room had no shower towels. Reception offered them for €6 each. There wasn’t a bar of soap or any shower gel either. I’ve never had such a bad welcome, and the staff could have done so much better. I deeply regret booking here and will never return. I hope people read this and know what they’re facing. I’m sorry I thought this destination was such a big deal. For the price, you don’t even get half the services you’d get in Greece or Turkey. It’s a huge scam and completely unacceptable.
