LE Fougeres

The location near the metro is about all I can credit, and even one star feels like too much. The photos only vaguely resemble the apartment, especially its overall condition. Cleanliness was appalling. The sheets were stained and smelly, and the bed was mismatched, though that’s a small thing by comparison. In the bathroom there were unidentified hairs stuck to the shower wall and more that hadn’t gone down the drain. The toilet still showed signs of previous use, and for four nights we were left three partly used rolls of toilet paper. I’ll spare the details. Cooking or having breakfast for more than two people isn’t realistic. There was just one coffee cup, and the Senseo machine looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The fridge door scraped the floor and only opened halfway, so it took some force to use it. The cooking area had a plastic backsplash held up with thumbtacks, with old cooking grease underneath the cabinets. The microwave looked brand new, so reheating a ready-made meal seems the better option. Netflix was promised, but I couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi because there was no network. There was also a sponge with its scouring side worn away, stained curtains all along the bottom, an uncleaned floor, a badly damaged coffee table, a bad smell, barely usable pillows, and batteries left on the floor when I arrived. No fancy towel swans, either. The price is completely unjustified, and even at a lower price this poor service would be unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.

Even one star is too generous. The apartment was run-down and filthy, with dangerous electrical outlets. The floor was sticky, the table dirty, the sheets smelled damp, there was an unpleasant odor, the ventilation grilles were blackened, and the coffee maker had mold in it. For four people there were only two towels and three bowls. Shameful. Stay away.

The apartment was clean and looked out onto a quiet square. It was very well equipped, with appliances, an iron and ironing board, and more.
