L'Hibernie

We’ve already booked another stay. Our host did everything she could to make us comfortable, and the village is charming. It’s a peaceful spot, just 30 mins from Paris, with an elegant chambre d’hôte.

We only stayed one night because we had a birthday party nearby, and it was hard to leave so soon. The village and house are both beautiful, with lovely bedrooms and shared spaces. We got a warm welcome and felt right at home.

We stayed for one night while attending a wedding at an estate five minutes away. Caroline and Brigitte gave us a warm welcome. Our room was downstairs, facing the reception area, and felt modern and comfortable. The reception itself is cozy and keeps its old-world charm. There’s also a small, quiet patio on the way to the rooms, with a table and chairs. There were hot and cold drinks at reception, and a delicious chocolate fondant was waiting for us when we arrived. Our room also had tea and coffee-making facilities. Upstairs, a lovely long garden gives you somewhere to relax. Breakfast was excellent and served around a large table in the reception area, with everyone seated together like a family gathering. We had bread, baguette, one croissant each, jam, fresh orange juice, fruit salad, Comté, Ossau-Iraty, goat cheese and blue cheese, sweet and semi-salted butter, plus scrambled eggs or an omelet made to order. Coffee or hot chocolate was served too. Parking could be a concern, as there are only a few spaces about 40 meters away. We had no trouble finding a spot when we arrived or when we came back in the evening.

The breakfast was sumptuous, and the lounge with a fireplace was ours to use. We spent a weekend enjoying the countryside at L'Hibernie, where Caroline welcomed us warmly. Each room was decorated with taste and elegance, right down to the little details. A lovely getaway, just an hour from Paris. I highly recommend it.
