B&B HOTEL Rosny-sous-Bois Paris Est

I barely slept because the beds were uncomfortable and the rooms smelled foul. Black mold was covering the windows in my room, so I asked for somewhere more suitable. The room they moved me to had even more mold. The guy said, “oh it’s just because of the rain.” They seemed to have no concern for guests’ comfort and neglected something that could actually harm someone, even though it just needed proper cleaning. This place seems more focused on turnover than accommodating guests. I’ll never stay at another B&B again.

Both rooms were pretty grotty, with other people’s hair in the bathroom corners, and the beds were so uncomfortable we struggled to sleep. One room had a broken toilet, but to their credit, reception gave us another one. It was a little better, though it still smelled of smoke. The first room stank of stale smoke too. I asked for air freshener, but what they gave me turned out to be cleaning spray. It wet the floor, so I wiped it up with a towel that was quite dirty. Opening the window didn’t help because next door was smoking weed and the smell drifted in, so I had to shut it. The staff were friendly and helpful the first night. Earlier, I’d called the hotel several times to cancel my booking because of another situation. They hung up on me twice, and the third call wasn’t much better. The booking terms said I’d get a full refund if I cancelled within 24 hours, but they refused. I won’t be coming back.

No air conditioning, and the sun hit the room all day. Terrible.

The area was awful, with rubbish dumped outside the hotel, and the hotel itself was even worse. I’m shocked it has three stars. I’ve stayed in many B&Bs around Europe and never had one like this. I’d avoid it at all costs. We arrived very late after a long day at Disney, and there were two disabled people in our group. Both rooms were extremely dirty, especially the floors and walls. The smoke detector had toilet roll over it, and there was ash on the floor despite the no-smoking rule. The wheelchair user takes a long time to get ready and into bed, and we were exhausted, so we cleaned up ourselves and went to bed. We didn’t sleep much. In the morning, we confronted a staff member and the manager. He was very aggressive and asked why we hadn’t said anything at 2 am. He didn’t care and was very dismissive.
