Ibis Rouen Centre Rive Droite Pasteur

The hotel is fairly new, so the facilities are in good shape. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and check-in and checkout were quick. There’s secure underground parking for an extra cost, and breakfast was very good. It’s well located, with a nice walk along the river into the centre of Rouen.

Everything else was good, but it’s a bit of a walk to the town centre. It rained during both days of our stay, so walking there to eat wasn’t very convenient.

The location is very central, and most of the staff are lovely and friendly. There are some really nice people at reception, especially the younger guy, and the ladies are nice too, apart from a few. But the service has dropped a lot lately. We called ahead to say we’d check in after 9 pm and gave them our reservation number, yet they couldn’t find the booking. The rooms are OK, though in some, the toilet is separate from the shower, which isn’t convenient. Towels are sometimes a little damp, sometimes missing altogether, and some rooms don’t have a chair. With all that, I don’t think the place is worth the prices they charge.

The disabled toilet was bigger than my hotel room, but both were surprisingly lovely. It’s a clean place to get your head down for the night, with friendly staff and good breakfast. The hotel is a drive from central Rouen, but you’re not paying for anything else. Mustn’t grumble.
