The facilities were bright and clean, and the pitches were a good size. The motorhome services and EHU were good too. We were glad to have a levelling system because our pitch was quite sloped. There was some noise late at night, with kids playing ball after 10pm and teenagers after 11pm. The site has lots of chalet-style holiday homes and visitors, who aren't always as considerate as campers. The climb up to the campsite is steep and has chicanes, so I wouldn't recommend it for vans over 8m. ACSI was accepted.

There’s even a laundry, and the price is great for what you get. Huttopia Royat is close to Royatonic, with a lovely campers’ lodge serving delicious local beer and excellent wifi. The tiny house-style accommodation is brand new and beautiful, all in a pristine natural setting. Strongly recommend it.

The staff were the highlight for me. Such a delightful group of young people, super helpful and pleasant. During a storm they even knocked to let me know shelter was available. They’re a credit to Huttopia and France. The site itself is nice, with plenty of space and privacy among the trees, and the facilities were good. It was a convenient base for visiting the volcanoes at the end of August, which were amazing. This was my first Huttopia, but it won’t be my last.

The grounds and infrastructure are really nice, as they are at other Huttopia campsites. But in the low season, service is very limited. The bar has restricted hours and offerings, and some of the sanitary buildings are closed.

We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Our pitch was large and well maintained, and there were lots of other facilities. It felt quiet and immersed in nature while still being very close to the city and nearby attractions. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
