Golden Tulip Dieppe

We were only here for a night on our way to Calais, and it made a good stopping point. The family room was large, with a very comfortable queen-sized bed, and the staff were friendly. It doesn’t look especially attractive from outside, but inside it’s decorated to a high standard.

We had a good meal in the restaurant, and the bar had decent beers, a pool table and table football. The rooms were a high standard, with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. Staff were really friendly and spoke excellent English. It’s a great pre-ferry option, with secure parking that felt safe for our bikes. There’s also a Lidl and several bakeries about a 10-minute walk away. Guests can use the pool and spa rooms.

The breakfast was the best we had in France and Spain, with a huge choice and everything exceptionally well presented. After a driving tour of France and Spain, we arrived on a hot Sunday afternoon for one night. The pool was so good, and the bathrobe and slippers were a nice touch. We also enjoyed a beer on the terrace, served by very friendly staff. The room was a good size and well equipped. Brilliant.

The boeuf bourginon was one of the best I’ve ever had, really tender. We stayed with our two young children for a night on the way to Rouen, and they loved the swimming pool. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and it was easy to reach from Dieppe ferry port. Thanks to everyone at the Golden Tulip for making it special. We’d absolutely come back next time we’re in the area.
