Chambres d'hôtes le Relais Saint Jacques

Karine and her mum are the heart of this gîte. They’re full of energy and happy to share stories about the town and what life is like there, which made it a lovely local experience. We stayed in a clean, ready private room in the annexe after arriving with a friend on the 14th of July 2025. The gîte had a nice atmosphere, and there’s a bar where you can buy drinks. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we had a great time meeting other pilgrims. We recommend staying here. Thanks for everything!

We were drenched after getting caught in thunderstorms, and Karine made us feel at home straight away. She took us upstairs, showed us how everything in the room worked, and kindly arranged to dry our shoes, which was fantastic. Dinner was vegetable soup, then delicious Aligot saucisse (le meilleur de l'Aubrac), followed by homemade crème brûlée. Everything was DELICIOUS! The owners were friendly and accommodating, and my friend and I found the bedroom in the annexe very comfortable. The annexe is right on the path, and it was an easy walk into the village to the main auberge, where we ate and had breakfast the next day. My only disappointment was that wine wasn't offered or included with the meal, which is usually the case.

The staff were really friendly, and both the room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The annex is on the other side of the village, which is a bit confusing, though it's only about 1.2 km away. The WiFi was a little weak, but that didn't matter much to me. Room 2 could easily fit one person, and my room had an amazing view through a small window. Lunch was okay, not bad, but with a reservation you might find a better place nearby for the same price.
