Grand Hotel Des Lecques, BW Signature Collection

Florence made my stay memorable from the moment I arrived. She was warm, helpful, and made me feel very welcome. Two other team members were lovely too, though I didn't catch their names. The main manager's attitude seemed a little off beside the rest of the team's warmth and professionalism, but nothing major. I still had a very positive stay and would happily recommend the Grand Hotel, especially because of Florence and the kind staff.

The pool was superb, and we had plenty of free parking around the hotel. Even in heat over 35C, our room stayed lovely and cool. We had a wonderful stay.

The pool is beautiful, and the hotel has a soul, with an eighties feel and lots of older guests who seem to return every summer. The service staff were warm and welcoming. We paid extra for a queen room with a sea view; the room was nice, but the bathroom was very old and needed redoing. We saw in the hotel leaflets that some bathrooms were new, so maybe we were just unlucky. The pool was also full of annoying kids with disrespectful parents. One family had around seven children and acted as if they owned the place, with lots of screaming and water gun play. My book got wet twice. There weren't enough sun beds or umbrellas either. People would leave a towel on a bed they wanted and then go away. One couple came back after five hours. That's rude, especially when many people at the pool had no shade or place to sit and half the beds were taken by people who weren't there. The hotel should do something about that. Also, an americano costs 5€.

We had such a lovely stay and would happily return. The old seaside hotel has been renovated beautifully inside. Highly recommended!
