La Maison d'Estournel

The park views from most rooms are peaceful, with a giant sequoia and old cedars to admire. Maison d'Estournel sits among the vineyards, just a stone's throw from the Cos d'Estournel, and the interior feels refined without being showy. We were welcomed like we were at someone's home. After a long drive, they waited for us until 1am. We then had cheese and wine in the chic living room. The welcome and comfort were wonderful, with a very high level of hospitality. A stay here means taking it easy, perhaps with a glass of Cos d'Estournel in the living room-library, trying the seasonal cooking, or wandering along the vineyard roads. It's a majestic place for a romantic, refined break in the vineyards.

The staff were the highlight, so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. My wife and I had an unforgettable stay at La Maison d’Estournel. Our room was lovely, and its balcony overlooking the garden made mornings feel special. The pool and gardens were just as impressive, and the massage we had was relaxing and professionally done. We really enjoyed the restaurant, with its unusual, delicious dishes, prepared and presented beautifully. The wine selection was outstanding, including some of the best Bordeaux wines we’ve tasted. We’d wholeheartedly recommend staying here, eating at the restaurant, and trying the wines.

The relaxed, elegant atmosphere and a lovely birthday surprise for my wife made for a night we won't forget. Hugo, the restaurant manager, was so welcoming and shared a beautifully aged bottle with us. It was a wonderful surprise, and the wine was in perfect condition. The team was attentive and professional, with care taken over every detail. The food was creative, fresh, and beautifully plated. You can feel the chef's passion in each bite. A great choice if you love fine dining, good wine, and thoughtful service.
