The hotel is close to town, and one young woman at the busy reception was very pleasant and helpful. The room, though, looked nothing like the photos. It was in another block, small, and in need of an update, so it didn't feel worth what we paid. Parking was full, and the garage cost €20. Breakfast was €14 each, so the three of us ate somewhere else.

The hotel may be small, but the rooms have more space than you'd think. Our king-size bed was really comfortable, and we slept well. Everyone was helpful, even finding us a non-slip mat for the shower-bath.

The room was fairly spacious and had lovely decor. The staff were friendly, and the location was handy, near both a market and the center of saint malo.

The receptionist was so helpful with suggestions for meals and things to see, and the room, although a little small, had everything we needed. We stayed within the city walls and would happily return, with so much still to see and do. Reception closes and the front door is locked at 8 pm, so I'm not sure how late check-in works. Once checked in, guests get a key to come and go. Parking inside the walls is difficult, and the car parks outside can also fill up at busy times. I'd book a space in the hotel's lock-up garage in advance.

The hotel was clean, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. Our room was a little shabby, with a small bathroom, a cramped shower, and no air conditioning. A nightclub about 50 metres away meant people were shouting and talking until 3 or 4 am. A warning when booking would have been nice. We had two nights of poor sleep. I'd stay again if a quieter room were available.
