Camping Les Pins du Soleil

We needed a last-minute stop and this worked out really well. The pitch was great, and the bar and restaurant served some of the tastiest pizzas. The woman at reception was so welcoming and helped us when we arrived, even staying late for us.

The pitches are spacious, especially compared with many Spanish sites, and there were no low branches to worry about while driving around. A lot of them had clearly been trimmed recently. The showers were roomy and had plenty of hot water, with what looked like fresh paint and new fittings. Our 7m motorhome got in easily. We paid €19 plus tax with the ACSI card. First impressions were good, and the receptionist spoke English well. He also switched between French and Spanish with me so I could practise both.

The site was still a bit soggy and very dark after nightfall. There aren’t many streetlights, and the ones there are don’t give much light, so that kept this from being a five-star stay. Otherwise, the pitches are a good size and easy to reach, with water and electric hookups on site. The facilities block has two accessible wet rooms, plus regular toilets, showers, basins, and washing-up sinks. There’s also a restaurant, a pool in summer, and you can order bakery goods at reception for delivery the next morning.

We spent the night in a mobile home. It was quiet and affordable, and the host was extremely kind. Just be aware that finding the place after dark is pretty hard.
