We stayed one night at Le Square, from 9/8 to 10/8. We had paid for the room and breakfast in advance, but at check-in the woman asked whether we wanted to book breakfast and charged me for it again. We were on a road trip with several hotels booked, so I couldn't recall the booking details then. The final statement arrived by email the next day, and showed we had been charged for four breakfasts. I emailed Le Square twice asking them to correct the credit card charge and still haven't heard back. What am I supposed to make of this business model? To me, it seems obvious this wasn't a mistake and they do this on purpose to cheat guests. Very poor behavior.

The pool is a real treat, and the hotel is quiet, pleasant, and exceptionally well looked after. The owner runs the place and is always attentive to your comfort, with great advice on food. You'll get a very warm welcome here. Don't hesitate, it's easy to fall for the place!

I stayed in an air-conditioned room that was comfortable and well maintained. The swimming pool was lovely and kept in perfect condition, a real pleasure in midsummer. The owner welcomed me warmly and paid close attention. A great place to stop in the heart of Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron. Highly recommended!
