Marie-Ange made our stay. She was wonderfully welcoming and helpful, and knew so much about the area and what was happening locally. After two weeks in the gite, we wished we could have stayed longer. The pool was warm and a great size, and we had plenty of privacy from the other gites and guest house. We also had a lot of fun in the games room in the evenings, and the gym equipment all worked fine. The gite had everything we needed for cooking, including a gas hob, electric oven, and lots of room in the fridge and freezer. The beds were really comfortable, and the mosquito nets let us keep the windows open without getting bitten. It's a five-minute drive to the boulangerie, with good supermarkets in Montpon-Menesterol and plenty of local markets too. Best gite holiday we've had. We hope to come back.

The night sky here is incredible. From the terrace, with so little light pollution, we could see the Milky Way and a sky full of stars. There is plenty to do on the property too, from the huge pool and ping pong to baby foot and the gym, so you could easily stay in. The owner was kind and helpful, and happy to talk about the region and things to see. We first booked a suite for four days, but felt so at home that we changed our plans and returned less than a week later for another four days, cancelling our last stop by the Mediterranean. The suite was tastefully decorated and practical, with a kitchenette, terrace, TV, air conditioning, kettle, microwave, fridge, dishes, cutlery and extra pillows. On our return we had a lovely room with comfortable bedding, a private terrace and a good bathroom. It had air conditioning, a TV, fridge, kettle and extra pillows. There was no kitchenette in the room, but guests could use a shared kitchen. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We could eat with the other guests in the seating area while following the Covid rules, or take it to the table and chairs on our terrace. The whole place is so peaceful, set among Périgord forests and fields, with horses roaming in the valley. One of the nicest places I've stayed.

Marie made this stay unforgettable. She's one of the most caring people I've met, and Daisy the dog was wonderful too. I was genuinely sad to leave Daisy on my last morning. The scenery is beautiful, the room was comfortable, the kitchen was good, and the shower was great. Breakfast was unreal. I'd love to stay here again, or even move in if I could!

We stayed for four nights in mid-October, and it was such a good find. Our room was spacious, with a kitchenette and a patio where we could sip wine and watch the two lovely horses. The place has real character and atmosphere, but also modern conveniences. Marie was a gracious host, and her son Thomas, who speaks English, was friendly and helpful. We used the rural location outside Bordeaux to explore the Dordogne Valley chateaux, visiting Saint-Émilion, Bergerac, Belvès, and Sarlat for walks, wine tasting, good food, old architecture, and history. Marie served a lovely breakfast of coffee, bread, cheese, sliced meats, yogurt, jams, and fresh fruit. It was too cool to use the attractive pool, but we would have enjoyed it in warmer weather. The toll road made the drive quick and easy.

A cozy little paradise, with a great room and welcoming service. Ideal if you like wild nature but still want a home-like hotel. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone planning a stay in this region.
