We had a great weekend base within walking distance of the main town, and the price was brilliant. The owners pointed us to some excellent restaurants, and breakfast was lovely. The place was very clean, with hot water available on demand. We stayed in the nylon room, which had a very comfortable king-size bed and a well-planned setup: a kitchenette with a cooker, sink, microwave, and full cooking equipment, plus a dining table, chairs, and sofa bed. It was a lovely spot to unwind out of the daytime heat. The welcome was warm and kind. The couple speak some English and kindly spoke French slowly so we could follow. We'll be back!

The house itself is full of character, with wooden floors, high ceilings, antique stoves, and a garden with parking. Our room for three was roomy and spotless, and even had a little kitchen with tea and coffee. The Wi-Fi and TV both worked well. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh bakery bread, fruit, yoghurt, and juice. Our host at "Au Fil de Troyes" was friendly and helpful, pointing us towards places to visit and eat. We loved our stay and would be glad to return soon.

Having our own off-street parking was why we chose Alain and Fabienne's, and the stay worked out perfectly. The ground floor is set aside for guests. Our rooms were spacious, clean, and stylish, with a comfortable bed, a modern shower room, and a handy kitchenette. Breakfast was generous, and the neighbourhood was quiet, with the town centre easy to reach on foot. We really enjoyed our two nights. Thank you, we'd recommend it.
