Le Melchior

We sat out on a comfortable terrace overlooking a garden, and there’s parking for customers too. The food was really well prepared and the portions suited us perfectly. Cocktails were good as well. There’s a very nice 21 euro menu, and another great option at 35 euros. Strongly recommend for good food and pleasant service.

The three of us picked different menus, and everything was tasty and well prepared. The service was lovely too. It’s a traditional countryside restaurant with a large, peaceful garden setting. We’ll come back!

The food was so good that the kids asked to come back tonight. Their Mini Melchior steaks were cooked perfectly, and they said it was the best steak they’d ever had. I had the warm goat cheese salad, which was delicious, and my husband loved the fish so much he finished it in about five minutes. The wine was great too. We got there at 8:45 pm after a long, hot, tiring drive from Paris, following a recommendation from our BnB owner. The staff were lovely, attentive, friendly, and welcoming. They spoke English and French with us, which reassured the kids, and were very patient and polite with my rusty French. We sat on the terrace, where distancing and hygiene were managed properly. The food arrived quickly. If Le Melchior is on your list of possible dinner spots, I’d call it a must. Five stars all round.

We stumbled across this place and had a lovely meal. The fixed-price menu was 25 Euro, and the house wine was delicious. It’s very kid-friendly, with a big yard. We sat outside, and the incredible weather made it even nicer.
