Relais du Bois St Georges

We loved staying here with our dog on the way to Spain and back. The beds are comfortable, which matters a lot when you’re travelling. It was easy to get to the garden, and both the restaurant and the food were superb. The team were especially helpful.

The restaurant was incredible. The food, its stylish and original presentation, and the friendly service deserve a Michelin star in our view. Our comfortable room had a lovely terrace where we enjoyed breakfast, too. A perfect stop close to the motorway. Highly recommended, and we’ll be back! Mark & Maxi

We booked at the last minute on our way back to the UK, and the staff made us feel welcome after a long journey. Everything was easy and relaxing. On arrival we had tea on the terrace overlooking the duck pond, with an unbelievable selection to choose from. The hotel is close to our main route, but it was perfectly quiet. The restaurant has huge picture windows facing the garden. Dinner was impeccable, from the seasonal cocktail and delicious, thoughtfully presented amuse bouche to the friendly, smiling service. I can’t recommend the food enough. Our bed was really comfortable, the shower was great, and the private balcony looked out over the lovely garden. Breakfast had been pre-ordered and came in a basket with nice local touches and a huge, delicious pain au chocolat. By the window we watched a red squirrel, a heron, ducks, and a mischief of magpies. Honestly, just stay here. Thank you to the lovely staff.

The staff were so helpful. Our journey was delayed for several hours after an incident on the road, but they kept reception open until we arrived. Before leaving, we also had a quick walk through the beautiful gardens. We only stayed one night at Le Relais Du Bois Saint George, but it was a fabulous find. Our family room had two double beds and was split over two levels, with hidden stairs leading upstairs. The design was full of surprises: a huge St George on a horse above the downstairs bed and a dragon coming out of the wall upstairs. We spent a good hour peeking around corners to find the next detail. I’ve taken off a star because the shower had no curtain or door, which I’d expect in a family room. We managed fine, though, and will definitely return.
