Olivier is a really kind host and will do whatever he can to make your stay nice. He’s also a great cook, and will prepare a meal if you ask. The house is beautiful and peaceful, right by the river with a lovely view. I really recommend staying here.

We spent one night here before heading south. The old château has a special feel, with a lot of history in the building, and it sits beside the scenic canal in the lovely little village of Salleles-d’Aude. Our upstairs room was spacious, with a huge bathroom and an ancient deep bathtub. There’s no elevator, so you have to carry your bags up the old staircase. The room was clean and breakfast was simple but good. We had dinner at the local restaurant “Les Ecluses”, where the meal and homemade wine were fantastic.

The area is so picturesque, and Olivier's elegant house is full of art and charm. He was a very kind host and a good cook. We had a great stay and I’d recommend it.
