Résidence Odalys Vallon du Roy

The restaurant area was great, and the staff there were lovely. The residence itself was pleasant, shady, and very quiet, with a little path down to the beach. I stayed from August 15th to 22nd, but the services felt average. The floor and toilet weren't clean when we arrived, the dishwasher didn't work properly, and the shower drain was blocked. I went to reception twice about the drain and got no response. Pool access was limited to around 50 people, so in mid-August the wait could be at least 30 minutes, if you got in at all. The security guard was very unpleasant and threatened to close the pool rather than let babies into the large one.

The residence is about 6-7 minutes by car from Sanary town center. You can walk to the beach on a private path. The apartment had a terrace and a small balcony, which was nice. It’s a pleasant place, though the pool is too small for the number of holidaymakers and there’s no room to swim a few laps.

The beds were terribly uncomfortable, with mattresses that felt almost nonexistent, so waking up was painful. Some apartments are really cramped for seven people, while others at the same price are perfectly fine. Cleanliness seems to depend on who stayed before you. The grounds are lovely and well cared for, and there’s a swimming pool and a small restaurant that feels chef-worthy. For what you pay, the quality is only average, which is a shame.

There’s a short path straight to the beach, and the pool area and bar are lovely. But pool entry is capped, so it’s best to be there right when it opens if you want a chance to get in. There’s a paddling pool, though very few parasols for little kids.
