Pretty cool.

We stopped for a simple, lovely lunch on the way. The rillettes were light and excellent, and the frog legs practically melted in your mouth. Our dog was very welcome too.

The setting is beautiful, and service was quick. There aren’t many menu choices, but the owner is attentive, helpful, and understanding, and really makes an effort to please customers. He’s very business-minded too.

We’d had a better experience in previous years. The main course was delicious and service was good up to that point, but everything fell apart once a group of about ten arrived. There were only four tables, yet it took 30 minutes for someone to clear ours, and we thought they’d forgotten our dessert. What came was three scoops of vanilla ice cream with a little whipped cream, instead of a white ice cream. €8.40 feels expensive for a scoop of vanilla. I didn’t dare mention it to the waitress at first, but said something when we paid. They replied that I should have told them sooner. Even if the mistake wasn’t mine, I would have apologized. The owner was clearing empty tables while we waited quite a while for our order to be taken. There weren’t many people there, but the service was slow and not very good.
