The location is excellent, just a 200-meter walk to the entrance of the old town. This is a bed and breakfast where you can interact with the very hospitable host, and the dog is extremely friendly and welcoming. The private courtyard has tables, chairs, and umbrellas for shade. It's quite peaceful, as the host said, and you won't be disturbed by people walking around upstairs. There is no private parking, so if you arrive by car you'll need to use the public parking area in the front square. It's free from 5 PM to 10 AM the next morning, with the usual public parking charges at other times. The room has air conditioning. The bed is a little firm, and there are cushions rather than pillows. One cushion makes for a low sleeping position, while two are higher. Some curtains don't block all the light, especially in the bathroom. You'll get a bottle of water, some snacks, and instant coffee packets. Bring your own plug adapters. The bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, with a hairdryer, hand soap, shampoo, body wash, and cotton swabs. You'll need your own conditioner, facial cleanser, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb. The shower has plenty of hot water and a strong flow, though the showerhead can fly around. The area isn't fully enclosed, so water can splash outside. Hot water at the sink takes about a minute to come through. At first, I thought there wasn't any. The host mentioned that the Wi-Fi can be unstable and go up and down. In reality, guess what, it mostly goes down, down, down, down…

The rooms are spacious and well equipped, with a kettle, microwave, and fridge. They open onto a tranquil, shaded garden, away from the old town bustle but still close by. It's a very convenient spot if you're on foot.

This was a brilliant base for exploring the area, and both the owners and the accommodation were excellent and well provided for. We arrived early, parked, and Michelle advised us on the parking arrangements. Then we went through the Sarlat market and checked out nearby places to eat and drink, along with entertainment options. There was no pressure at any point, and I'd recommend staying here.

The outdoor area is quiet and a nice place to relax, and our room was clean. The hosts were friendly and helpful. It's a great location just outside old Sarlat, with the old city less than a 5-minute walk away.
