We spent a full week at this lovely, authentic hotel. The room was spacious, and quiet with the windows closed. It had wonderful views of Saulieu and so many windows that the natural light alone made it worth staying there. With the windows open, though, traffic on the main road could be noisy. The air conditioning was adequate, but its condensation left a little water on the floor. The reception team was friendly and efficient, and spoke English. The hotel's guidelines during the 2020 virus period were very clear, and everyone seemed to follow them. Breakfast was a Continental buffet, everything we needed to start the day. The pool isn't very big, but it was fine for a quick dip before dinner or after hiking in Burgundy. A lovely hotel in a small village, and we'd absolutely recommend it for visiting the Morvan and nearby villages. One note: the key is quite large and has a heavy key ring. As requested, we left it at reception during the day. There are no safes in the room.

We had dinner at the hotel, and the food and wine, including the flavors, were splendid. Everything is handmade and sourced from local farmers. The family-run place has plenty of charm and authenticity, with unique decor and a hillside setting that gives you a nice view. I'd highly recommend it for a cozy, charming stay with great food.

The rooms were clean and nice, but too small. We enjoyed dinner in the beautiful backyard garden, where there's also a swimming pool. We didn't have breakfast. The hotel itself is an impressive old monastery building, well preserved and right in central Saulieu, a good location for exploring town on foot, and the staff were friendly. There were earplugs in the room, and later we understood why. Large trucks pass through downtown Saulieu throughout the night, and many honk as they go by. I don't know why they do that, and it's not something the hotel can control, but it's very annoying.

The rooms are simple and very small, though clean. Make sure to ask for a garden room. Ours faced the street and was horribly noisy, so I couldn't sleep. It was also very hot. At the beginning of June, the sun is very strong all day.

A cute little hotel with lots of personality, and it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well appointed, and the pool area was nice. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Dinner at the restaurant was the highlight, absolutely fantastic. I was 100% satisfied.
