Les Tonnelles

A lovely hotel for our trip, and the location worked well.

A fellow guest eventually came out and kindly gave us the entry code, but we had already spent nearly three hours outside in the cold, trying to get in late at night. We had booked a night at Les Tonelles and discovered on arrival that no entry code had been sent. There was no receptionist, as everything relies on codes. We searched our emails, then tried the concierge, but got no answer. Neither of the two listed emergency numbers was answered either. We've still heard nothing from them. This was a terrible experience at a so-called “hotel,” and completely unacceptable.

The room was good quality, but it's quite close to the road, with heavy traffic all night, and a bit far from Annecy. There was no one at reception and no message with the door password. I don't think I'll return.

The room was okay, nothing special, but the bed felt a bit too thin even for one person. Sound insulation was poor, so we could hear other travelers and traffic. The place wasn't well maintained, and hygiene was nothing special. During a major power outage there was no way to contact anyone. Really disappointing for the price.
