It's easy to walk to the city center, and there are parking options nearby. The welcome was very friendly and personal, and the place felt like a home away from home.

We had a very nice, quiet room on the ground floor, and the host was lovely. The B&B is close enough to walk to downtown Strasbourg, and breakfast was good. We parked in front of the house over the weekend and overnight, or used a parking garage 300m away. La Celestine has our full recommendation!

The payment situation was the worst part for me. Booking.com says credit cards are accepted, but at the inn we were told it was cash or wire transfer only. My mother and I had two rooms, so paying cash meant taking over 500 euros out of an ATM, which felt unsafe and would have cost more than 30 euros in fees. I chose to wire the amount owed instead. When it arrived minus a 10 euro international fee, the owner said I still owed that 10 euros. I refused. It felt like being asked to cover a credit card processing fee, and it was completely inappropriate and shocking. I wonder how many thousands of dollars customers have been scammed out of over the years. When you question the business practices, the owner yells and gets aggressive. Just unnecessary and unpleasant. The place itself is okay, maybe a three-star B&B, but I can't understand the high reviews. The owner was grumpy and wanted things done his way even when it inconvenienced guests. The rooms felt tasteless and tacky, full of cheap furniture and knickknacks. The beds were uncomfortable and sagging, with the shape of thousands of previous sleepers permanently pressed into the mattresses. It was kind of gross, especially for the price. Invest a bit in the rooms. Breakfast was cute and edible, but not good. The coffee was mediocre and bitter, and the daily pastry was only okay. I'd rather go into town for a decent breakfast.

The welcome was very warm, and the location is good: a little outside the center, but an easy walk. The facilities felt a bit old school. My room had an interesting factory theme, though it was a little cluttered. I'd recommend it.
