Hôtel Suisse

The breakfast buffet had lots of choices and good local products, and it felt like a bargain. Our beds were comfortable, and the room matched its description. I was surprised by how roomy the shower was for a historic hotel. The location is hard to beat, and the staff were welcoming and helpful from arrival through checkout after our three-night stay. I’d happily stay here again when I’m in Strasbourg.

We arrived on the 24th for the Christmas holidays and stayed at Hotel Suisse. Its spot in the old town was great, and the hotel had a cute feel. The rooms were a little small, but we still really enjoyed our stay. The staff were super friendly and made the experience, and breakfast in the morning was great.

The location was close to everything, and the barista was nice. Still, I’d recommend another hotel. Compared with the last five places we stayed at a similar price, this one was poor. The room was tiny and cold. The bathroom heater didn’t work, and although they added a space heater, there was barely room to walk around it. You had to get down on the floor to reach the outlets. The toilet was across the small room from the sink and shower, and they provided just one bath towel for two people. The front desk was curt. Breakfast disappointed too: dry pastry, nuts you had to crack yourself, and everything was cold except the boiled egg.

Breakfast was delicious and presented really nicely, and all the staff were lovely. We had an amazing room with a view of the cathedral. Such a fantastic, cosy hotel, it’ll be our go-to in Strasbourg from now on.
