I spent Christmas here and had a really unpleasant stay. Breakfast was awful: the room was cramped, people kept bumping into each other, and there was no food at the coffee table, no juice, or even a glass for water. It was chaotic and badly organized. The hotel itself is very beautiful, though it felt a bit too small. I can’t recommend it.

I was supposed to be in Strasbourg for a work course, but I came down with the flu on my first night and spent the rest of my four-night stay in bed. The bed was very comfortable, and the food was great. Being so sick in a foreign country was scary, but Mihriban at the front desk looked after me so well. She arranged two doctor appointments, including a virtual one at my bedside, and translated for me during the call. She also organized transport to the doctor I needed to visit and brought extra tissues to my room. I’m very grateful to her for making me feel safe.

This was a bad stay unless all you need is somewhere to sleep. Breakfast capacity is nowhere near enough, with 30-50 minute waits for a table. The pre-cut vegetables were rancid, and the coffee was very low quality. Staff at the front desk acted disdainful, rolled their eyes at several guests, and were rude to people we saw during our stay. There was someone complaining about a different problem every time we came in. Housekeeping left our room half done one day, with a bare mattress, then came back flustered and annoyed when we asked them to put the sheets on and make the beds. The restaurant menu was mediocre and it seemed to be "busy" all the time despite being empty. We couldn't get room service because it was busy, or order at the bar. It's also not kid friendly: pool hours for children are very limited, and they don't accommodate kids. That's fine if they say so up front or don't take families. This is a one or two star hotel at best, and seems to have two stars too many.

The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully decorated, and the elegant décor gave the hotel a cozy feel. We had a wonderful stay. From the minute we arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, always making an effort to help us feel comfortable. Everything was perfect and better than we expected. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable stay.
