Bandb Hotel Lyon Ouest Tassin

We left early the next morning as soon as we could, with no desire to come back. There was no view, just the wall of another hotel, and the bathroom door had very dirty drops or stains on its upper part. I'd requested a crib ahead of time, but there wasn't one in the room. The building is huge, with tiny, modern rooms. I picked it because it seemed close to the road, but despite the suburban location, it was hard to reach, and there was nowhere nearby to park even briefly for check-in. It felt like being in a bad movie.

The room was good value for a low cost, with nice colors and wood panels. The air conditioner didn't work, though we could open the window all the way and get fresh air, which was even better. Parking under the hotel is free and convenient, and the spaces themselves are fine, but getting down there is tricky: the turns and slopes are narrow and steep, so be very careful with your car. Our intermediate SUV, a Ford Kuga, was okay. Don't try it with your Tesla X!!!! In the morning, there's a rush-hour feel at the single elevator to the garage, and you may have to wait in line to get back to your car. I'd still recommend the hotel.

We were three people in a four-bed room, so there was plenty of room. The price was incredibly low. The building was clean and quiet, and worked well for an overnight stay. To get to the city center, having a car is best. I drove and paid 10 EUR per night for it, which was worth it. I think it's a great option in this amazing city.

The bus stop right by the hotel made it easy to get to Lyon, and inside we felt safe and welcome. The staff were friendly and helpful, with someone at reception around the clock. The lobby vending machines were handy, the room was clean and had everything we needed, and the hotel was clean too. The only small downside was hearing neighboring doors open and shut. Otherwise, it covers the basics well without piling on pointless extras that raise the price without making the stay better.
