Marie, the owner, answered all my questions with a big smile, and the website photos are accurate. The house sits at the back of a large garden and is beautiful, with a lovely ground-floor sitting room and two roomy bedrooms upstairs, set apart from each other. The beds were comfy, and I loved looking out at the greenery and the backs of all those aristocratic houses. There's a small worktop for food prep, though who comes to Tours to cook? It's a quiet area, with a supermarket, bakery, and butcher just a few minutes away on foot. The station and shopping area are a 10-minute walk. Parking a car or motorbike on the public road felt safe. It would suit two couples easily.

The hosts made us feel very welcome and were always attentive and available. La Dépendance is peaceful, a lovely place to recharge, with tasteful decor and an authentic charm that put us at ease right away. Everything was clean, well kept, and equipped for a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it for a relaxing break.

We spent Christmas here as a family and really enjoyed the setting. The cottage is a little slice of paradise, just a 5-minute walk from Rue Nationale and the train station. Marie welcomed us warmly. Inside, it's tastefully decorated, with two large upstairs bedrooms and comfortable beds that made for a good night's sleep. The amenities are comprehensive, so a long, independent stay is easy.

This quiet little spot in the center of Tours made a lovely base, with easy access to the city and the region's attractions. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it. One tip: booking directly with the gîte, as we did, saves a significant amount of money.

You feel at home straight away here. The welcome was friendly, the bedding was perfect, and the decor was lovely. It's incredibly quiet thanks to the inner courtyard, and parking was easy too. A magical place to spend some time. Highly recommend.
