The room was large, clean, and quiet even though it was beside a pub. The bathroom was spacious and modern, and that shower was the best of the 15 hotels on our trip. The place is a few minutes from the main shopping area, with lots of restaurants on the same street. The receptionist, who might be the owner, was friendly and very helpful. Don't let the two star rating put you off. I suspect it comes down to the lack of a lift, reception not always being staffed, and no shower toiletries, though there is soap by the sink. Highly recommended.

There are plenty of useful places close by: a little grocery store down the street, restaurants, bars and bakeries nearby, and a few pharmacies within a short walk. The old town and several historic buildings are around 15 minutes away on foot. My room was clean and comfortable, overlooking the courtyard. There's no air conditioning, but opening the windows and using the electric fan kept it cool enough for me. The owner was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the visit and would stay again.

The owner was lovely and let us leave our bags in the morning while we went out to walk around the city. We stayed just one night and had a great time. The room was roomier than expected, the bed was nice, and the shower was fantastic. Breakfast was available if we wanted it. Definitely recommend!

Right on one of central Tours' main streets, with a small supermarket less than a two minute walk away and dozens of restaurants nearby. The owner is super welcoming and friendly. Excellent place to stay in the city centre!
