Le Grand Hotel Tours

The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was great. The staff were so kind, especially Jean Batiste and Maude. This was my favorite hotel in France. Loved it!

The hotel is a little old, though it's very clean and the soundproofing is quite good. Everyone on staff was helpful, and the location in Tours is really convenient. I'd gladly stay here again as a base for another visit.

Reception made the stay pleasant, the staff were lovely and always available. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, even if the style felt a bit dated. Parking is right across from the hotel, with a convenient arrangement. We did hear noise from other rooms at night, which was the one downside. Still, it was a good stay and I'd recommend it.

The location is very good, and the staff were friendly enough. Our bikes were stored safely in the garage, and we liked the free book exchange library. The bed was comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. The coffee was good too, but breakfast otherwise wasn't great: no croissants, just a few small pain a chocolates, and canned fruit. The internet kept cutting out, and our room was tiny and dark. Its only windows looked into the courtyard, where people sat about a foot away if we opened them. The hairdryer was old and cracked. I wouldn't stay again if I had to be in that room, though maybe a nicer room would have been fine.
