Hôtel Ronsard

Everything I needed to get to, including the train station, was within a 10-minute walk. I was travelling from Canada, and the Ronsard team were friendly, helpful, and accommodating from the start. They suggested a restaurant, gave me directions, explained how things worked, and carried my bags to my room. The rooms were cosy, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was simple and included everything advertised. The basket of bread and pastries was delicious. Thank you!

The only real annoyance was the doors. They slam shut by themselves and were disturbing every time another guest came or went. I’d suggest adjusting the closing mechanism so they shut more gently. The aircon was a little noisy even at its lowest setting, but earplugs muffled it completely. Another option is to cool the room in the evening and switch it off overnight. My third-floor room was small but sufficient and functionally furnished, even with a little desk. It was bright, with a fine view, and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was a bit small but perfectly usable. The location is central without being on a busy street. Pretty good value for the price, and the official website offers better prices than other platforms.

We had to arrive late, but the staff were still really friendly and helpful. The little rooms were clean and tidy, just what we needed, and breakfast was excellent. There’s a safe underground car park a few minutes’ easy walk away. I’d certainly recommend it.

It’s a lovely old hotel close to everything, and the staff were very helpful. The only thing that bothered us was streetlight coming through the curtains in our room.
