We rented electric bikes and explored the parks, castles, and restaurants nearby. Back at the cozy cabin, the soaking tub was a lovely way to unwind, and we enjoyed all the animals too. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The owners were kind and quick to help whenever we needed anything. This was one of the best parts of our trip, and we'd happily recommend it.

The children especially loved all the animals, and we made good use of the indoor and outdoor games, including badminton, croquet, the zip line, and board games. The grounds feel wonderfully natural, almost like being in the forest, even if they're not perfectly maintained. We were able to pick mushrooms and walnuts too. Breakfast was delicious and varied, with homemade spelt bread from local flour, pancakes, cheese, and jam. If you're visiting from Germany and hoping for baguettes and croissants, ask ahead, since they aren't served every day. The little oven and microwave were too small to make pizza for five, and unfortunately the Wi-Fi didn't work for us. We stayed a week in the wooden cabin with two adults and three children. It felt cramped, especially in fall when meals on the terrace weren't an option. Christine was very accommodating with our requests: we could put a third mattress upstairs, avoiding the sofa bed downstairs, and use a second lodge as living space. The bigger lodges give you more room, but their canvas walls provide much less soundproofing than the wooden cabin. There are lovely castles and towns nearby, plus lots of activities for children. The area also seems to have many organic farms, which you can see reflected in the weekly markets.

We booked two nights but left after one, so it turned into an expensive, freezing stay. The lodges were very cold during All Saints' Day, around 8°C, and with young children it was hard to enjoy being there. They provide heat lamps for meals, but they didn't seem suitable with children running around, and you can't leave them on overnight. I imagine the experience is different in good weather, but our rating is lower than others because of these conditions.

The pony ride at sunset, looking out toward the castle, and feeding the animals were such lovely moments. We were there for less than a day, but came away feeling peaceful and happy. The raclette at dinner was fantastic, nothing like the mass-produced kind, and breakfast was great too. Our children, aged 5 and 11, had a wonderful time and already want to come back. The cabins have so much charm, with vintage pieces chosen with care. We felt at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to the warm atmosphere. We're looking forward to returning. Huge thanks to Bonnie and her mother! Amalia, Adrian, Francisco, and Laura

The cabins are tucked among trees and animal enclosures in a green area with other similar cabins. They're beautifully decorated, well equipped, and carry a real forest theme, so the atmosphere feels quite distinctive. The children can help feed ponies, sheep, and chickens. We had a pleasant night, though the bed creaked whenever someone turned over :) Thanks for the warm welcome!
