Le Bon Accueil

Warning, scam! We stayed for one night, from August 12 to 13. As soon as we checked out, the property cancelled our reservation, which meant we couldn’t leave a rating on booking.com. The property was in bad shape and untidy, with hair everywhere. Seeing the kitchen put us off touching the included breakfast.

The hosts were really friendly and kind, and the included breakfast was bread, jam, butter, juice, and coffee or tea. But the place needs renovations. There was mold in some areas, and our bedroom smelled a bit foul, like grandma’s old house. The shower drained slowly and water pooled. We spent two nights there in August, and both nights were very hot. There was no air conditioner or fan, and with the windows open it didn’t cool down until early morning. Flies came in and kept us from sleeping. There’s no TV in the rooms, and the bathroom is shared with other guests in the hallway. Phone reception was poor, and the WiFi didn’t work in our bedroom, only when we went up to the patio. It’s really just somewhere to sleep for a quick stay.

The rooms are basic, but clean and tidy, and the breakfast was both delicious and generous. Mrs. Marie was kind and helpful. The location is excellent, about 20 minutes from Mont Saint-Michel.

The building is dated, and the bathroom is shared with another room, though it was always clean. I had a great stay. The owners were consistently kind and helpful, and the staff were welcoming. The place was clean and breakfast was excellent.
